What We Do
New Mexico MedWorks offers complete Occupational Medicine services, including treatment of work related injuries, pre-employment physical examinations, drug and alcohol testing.
Injured and sick workers are treated promptly by our bilingual staff. The emphasis is on excellent medical care, rapid return to work, and reasonable cost to employers. We are committed to promoting health and wellness in the community and through our educational programs; we collaborate with employers and workers to improve workplace safety.
Our medical providers are experienced in the delivery of care to injured workers and our nursing staff is trained in DOT approved drug and alcohol testing, spirometry, audiometric testing and respiratory fit testing.
Hours
Open 8am to 5pm at Monday through Friday at our MedWorks 3600 Rodeo Lane Ste. A-2 Santa Fe location.
After 5pm, services are provided at MedWorks Urgent Care Santa Fe at 2801 Rodeo Road from 5pm to 10pm Monday through Friday and from 10am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday.
MedWorks services are also offered at Los Alamos Urgent Care 1460 Trinity Drive and Valley First Care in Espanola at 528 North Coronado Lane, 7 days a week, 9 am to 7pm.
Founders
Dr. Richard Lieberman is the founder and medical director of New Mexico MedWorks, Urgent Care Santa Fe , Los Alamos Urgent Care and Valley First Care in Espanola. Dr. Lieberman was a Family Physician for the United States Public Health Service, division of Indian Health. He was the Medical Director of Emergency Services at St. Vincent Hospital, in Santa Fe. He was a full time Emergency Doctor for over 20 years and served a term as hospital Chief of Staff. Dr. Lieberman is also a trained and certified DOT drug screen collector and has been providing after hour and weekend medical care for various occupational healthcare providers in Santa Fe.
Our general manager is Mike Perea, R.N. a native-born Santa Fean and a certified case manager and ergonomics assessment specialist with over 20 years experience in nursing with 15 years experience in workers’ compensation, physical rehabilitation, office ergonomics and medical case management.
